What We Love About the Body Champ BRM2720 Elliptical:
The best thing about the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer is the price. For under $200, body Champ is providing a good piece of exercise equipment. For the price is has everything you can expect, plus a little more. It has 8 levels of resistance, heart rate monitoring and a computer that will give you basic readouts to track your performance while exercising. This elliptical has everything you’ll need to start an exercise regimen, at a good price.
Another nice thing about the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer is its design. First, as the name suggests, it can be used for two different exercises. It can be used as both a stand up elliptical and as a sit down exercise bike. Adjustable foot pedals allow you to get a comfortable motion in both positions. You can even use forward or backward motions while exercising on the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer. The other nice thing about the design is that it is fairly small. This is great for apartment living or for people who just don’t have the space for exercise equipment.
What Isn’t So Great:
One of the drawbacks of the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer is its size. It doesn’t have a large frame and has a total weight under 90 lbs. A lot of users commented on the flimsy-like feel of this elliptical. They also stated that it makes a lot squeaking and other noise, which suggests this frame is under a lot of stress. Other users told stories about components breaking after limited use. For under $200, we know you’re not going to get a gym quality machine, but the overall size and strength of the BRM2720 Magnetic Dual Trainer is a little worrisome.
The stride on the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer is about 13”. At this length it’s difficult for anyone that’s very tall to get a full stride while exercising. This can seriously restrict your motion and prevent you from raising your heart rate for an intense workout. On top of it, some taller users even commented that while using this machine as an elliptical, they strike their knees and thus can only use it as an exercise bike.
Final Word on the Body Champ BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer:
For under $200, you’re getting just about what you can expect as far as an entry-level piece of exercise equipment. There have been some user comments concerning the quality of the BRM2720 Magnetic Elliptical Dual Trainer’s construction, which worries us a little. However, we really do like the design of this machine and the fact that you’re getting two different exercise options for the price of one.
