Intensity Settings
The biggest drawback with the Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical is its intensity features. The elliptical does provide 15 resistance levels, which is a good amount. However, they are manually adjusted. Most elliptical in this price range provide electronic settings that allow you to adjust resistance at the touch of a button. Computer
Exerpeutic equips the 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical with a pretty basic computer. It is decent sized and backlit, but that’s about it. It has basic readouts that include time, speed, distance, calories burned and RPM…and that’s about it. The computer does not provide any programmed workouts. This is a big drawback for us as this is a basic option on nearly all exercise equipment. Programmed workouts are great because they can break up the monotony of exercising and keep you motivated throughout your workout.

At the mid-$500 price range, you start to lose a few options on exercise equipment, that is to be expected. For instance, you probably can’t find an elliptical in this price range with an incline feature. Another feature that typically goes away is a large stride. The Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical however doesn’t lose this. If you’re a tall user, this may be the most cost effective elliptical that will give you a full, intense workout. On the other hand this elliptical does lose a few features that we are use to like electronic resistance settings and programmed workouts.
