Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21-Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical Review

Last Updated on April 26, 2021 by Jeff

Elliptical Overview:Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical

The Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical has some really nice features at this price point. Though the warranty on this elliptical leaves a little to be desired, it is a well built machine with strong components.

This home elliptical machine is designed for larger users. The best and most obvious feature of this elliptical is the 21” stride. A stride this large at this price range is nearly impossible to find. This makes this elliptical a good choice for users over 6’ tall. Taller users won’t need to compromise their full stride on this machine and will be able to have a natural movement to ensure an intense workout. Exerpeutic also designed the 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical with a 350 lb weight capacity, again, catering to the large users. With features like these at this price range, this makes the elliptical a great choice for a lot of people.

The elliptical also provides some other features that we are used to seeing like 15 levels of magnetic resistance, oversized pedals, dual sensor pulse sensors to monitor your heart rate, a water bottle holder, transportation wheels, and an accessory holder for personal items. This machine is definitely provides everything you’ll need for a great workout.

What We Love About the Exerpeutic Heavy Duty Magnetic Elliptical:Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical

Stride

The best feature of this elliptical is right in its name, the 21” stride. This is a huge stride and will likely accommodate just about anyone. Even if you’re over 6’ tall, you will be able to have a smooth, natural stride on the Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical. Another nice feature on this machine’s stride is that you use it in both forward and backward motions. By striding backwards you will work entirely different muscle groups to strengthen your legs in many different areas.

What Isn’t So Great:

Intensity Settings

The biggest drawback with the Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical is its intensity features. The elliptical does provide 15 resistance levels, which is a good amount. However, they are manually adjusted. Most elliptical in this price range provide electronic settings that allow you to adjust resistance at the touch of a button. For example, check out our reviews of the ProForm Smart Strider Elliptical Trainer and the XTERRA FS 3.0 Elliptical Trainer, which provide electronic controls and even more resistance settings.

ComputerExerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical

Exerpeutic equips the 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical with a pretty basic computer. It is decent sized and backlit, but that’s about it. It has basic readouts that include time, speed, distance, calories burned and RPM…and that’s about it. The computer does not provide any programmed workouts. This is a big drawback for us as this is a basic option on nearly all exercise equipment. Programmed workouts are great because they can break up the monotony of exercising and keep you motivated throughout your workout.

Final Word on the Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21-Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical:

At the mid-$500 price range, you start to lose a few options on exercise equipment, that is to be expected. For instance, you probably can’t find an elliptical in this price range with an incline feature. Another feature that typically goes away is a large stride. The Exerpeutic Heavy Duty 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical however doesn’t lose this. If you’re a tall user, this may be the most cost effective elliptical that will give you a full, intense workout. On the other hand this elliptical does lose a few features that we are use to like electronic resistance settings and programmed workouts. With the 21 Inch Pro Stride Magnetic Elliptical it comes down to what you need in a piece of exercise equipment to get a good workout. Also have a look at one of the best exerpeutic ellipticals.
