Nautilus Inc. is without a doubt one of the biggest names in exercise equipment. The Nautilus brand is easily one of the most recognizable cardio equipment brands. Each machine can monitor factors such as speed, heart rate, distance travelled and workout time. The monitor also has a stand for a book, magazine or tablet so your workout can be combined with leisure activities or checking your emails. Most of the equipment also offers Bluetooth Nautilus Connect which connects to the Nautilus Trainer app on your phone as well as uploading your data to your MyFitnessPal account. All you work out times, distance, heart rate and calories burned are effortlessly in one place for you to track your fitness progress.
Schwinn
Schwinn are specialists in cycling equipment. Although their original focus back in 1896 was solely on racing they have since expanded to include the home user. In that time Schwinn has made many innovations to the bicycle including the bicycle balloon tyre, the Cyclelock, the Fore-wheel brake and many more innovations. It wasn’t until 1965 that Schwinn noticed the fitness trend and created the first stationary exercise bikes and since then they have excelled at this more than anyone else. Universal
Universal was founded at the iconic Muscle Beach with the purpose of making strength training safer and therefore more accessible to beginners. Barbells and Dumbells have been an integral part of strength training for many years but they require careful monitoring of technique and form otherwise the exerciser is likely to injure themselves. Thus the weight machine was born. Instead of free weights all the weight and the exercisers direction of movement is guided and controlled. Now Universal has a range of both single exercise machines and machines that incorporate as many as ten different exercises along with add-ons that assist in non-weight exercises like pull up bars and sit up benches. They, of course, also offer traditional free weights as well.
Quality Overall
The original Nautilus may have just been a stand-alone exercise machine, but from there the company has grown into something much greater. By bringing together the exercise equipment industry leaders they have created a company that encompasses cardio and strength training like no other. Who else can boast a bike company in production since the 1800s, or the creators of the weight machine? A thing is only as great as the sum of its parts and Nautilus Incorporated only has the best parts.
