Shipping and Assembly

Getting free shipping is as simple as looking around for the best seller. There are plenty of options allowing you to have this bike delivered directly to your door without adding extra charges to the price. If you cannot find free shipping, local pick up is an option and should be simple because the bike is fairly light.

Assembly is nearly done for you when it arrives. There are a few parts that will need to be installed and the bolts will all need to be checked and tightened. It is important that you check that the bike is in proper position and the folding pin is in place before attempting to ride it.

What We Love About the Xspec Foldable Stationary Exercise Bike

Xspec Foldable Stationary Compact Upright Exercise BikeEasy to Love Design

From the super easy folding action to the cute colors and the lightweight but strong steel frame, it’s pretty easy to really love this bike. The color choices provide a fun variety to choose from, but overall, it’s the actual function of the bike that makes it great.

Road Bike Feel in an Indoor Bike

We like the belt drive which is not only pretty quiet but makes this ride feel like a road bike. The counterweighted pedals and adjustable foot cage straps make us feel like we are getting ready to do an outdoor road race or take a spin class.

Affordable But Not Cheap

At around $120, one might worry that this bike is going to feel “cheap” with a wobbly frame and less than stable riding, especially at higher speeds. We were surprised to see in the reviews just how sturdy this bike really is, especially since it is so light.

What Isn’t So Great

Less Than Great Warranty

The entire warranty is 30 days from date of purchase, a quick add-in offer that most people may not understand. This doesn’t mean 30 days from when it arrives at your home, but rather, from when you purchase it. If there is a delay in shipping, you could have a technically expired warranty before your bike is even at your door.

Not the Bike for Tall People

While you can adjust the height of the seat, there is not much adjustability overall. People who are over 5’6” may find themselves uncomfortable on this bike or may not be able to use it at all.

Not a Lot of Resistance to Choose FromXspec Indoor Foldable Stationary Compact Upright Exercise Bike

There are only 8 levels of resistance to choose from with this bike, meaning that while you can vary your workout, there may not be as much variation as you would get from a different style of bike.

How the Xspec Foldable Stationary Upright Exercise Bike Compares with the Xspec Foldable Recumbent Bike

The Xspec Foldable Recumbent bike gives you the ability to sit in a different position than the upright bike. It is much larger in all ways except for length (both bikes are 44 inches long). The recumbent bike weighs 12 pounds more but has the same max user weight. Both can fold with one movement for easy storage and both have the same features in every other way.

Unless you are a trainee that cannot use an upright bike safely, the recumbent model is no better and no worse.

Final Word on the Xspec Foldable Stationary Upright Exercise Bike

It is a cute design with a very little footprint, so if it needs to stay out all of the time, you won’t mind it. If you need it, the bike is designed to be easily folded for storage and is light enough for most people to be able to handle moving wherever it needs to go. There are transport wheels to make it even easier. The low noise belt lets you watch TV while you are riding, and the magnetic resistance lets you adjust how easy or how hard you have to work with just the twist of a knob. It is a surprisingly well-built bike, especially at this price point, but taller trainees should be warned that this bike may not be able to adjust correctly for them.
