Assembling the Body-Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym isn’t a walk in the park. There are a lot of bolts, washers and nuts and it’s going to take some time. You don’t need a whole lot of tools besides your wrenches and maybe a rubber mallet. The instructions are illustrated and coincide with the parts list, but they’re going to take some patience to read through while assembling the gym. To complete assembly, it’ll probably take you in the 6-7 hour range.

While this is plenty of weight for a most exercises this gym offers, there are some people out there that this wouldn’t be enough weight for. Higher end machines will provide systems that increase the resistance for these exercises. For a bigger weight stack gym, you can expect to pay about $1,000 more for this upgrade. Another option would be to look at resistance rod home gyms like the Bowflex Xtreme 2SE Home Gym. These gyms often provide more resistance than typical weight stack gyms.
Lower Body Options
Another consideration with the StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym is the lack of lower body workout options. You get some basic leg extension and curl options to work the legs but not much else.
