Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym

Get a low cost pulley-based home gym that hits every major muscle group with upper, mid-range and lower pulleys.

Home Gym Overview:

The Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym serves up over 30 exercises that will challenge every muscle in your body. The Power Rod resistance system provides a smooth, consistent tension throughout your entire exercise movement. You’ll feel the resistance when you push and pull and when you release the movement. This at home gym from Bowflex Blaze gives you the same feel of free weights, but you don’t have the same risk of injury. The PR1000 Home Gym has up to 210 lbs of inertia-free resistance. That’s more than enough resistance for an intense workout on a body part.

The Bowflex PR1000 all-in-one gym excels in targeting any muscle group. With the upper pulley, you can focus on your lats, shoulders and deltoids. The mid-level pulleys allow you to target the pectorals with numerous press exercises. With the lower pulley and leg extension you can round it all out and ensure a full body workout. There really isn’t a muscle you can’t hit with the Bowflex PR1000 which we feel sits among the best home gyms you can buy.

What We Love About the Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym:

Exercises & Price

The Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym markets itself as being able to provide over 30 different exercises. The exercises hit every major muscle group with upper, mid-range and lower pulleys. You’ll be able to hot your chest, shoulders and back as well as your arms, abs and legs. Generally, when you think of Bowflex a large price tag might flash in your mind, but with the PR1000 Home Gym that is not the case. This is one of the cheapest pulley-based home gyms available. There are some others that compete like the Marcy MWM-990 Home Gym, the Weider Home Gym or the Gold’s Gym XRS50 Home Gym. Make sure you check out our reviews of these gyms. However, you can’t beat an intense workout like you’ll get on a Bowflex machine.

Bowflex PR1000 Home GymOther Considerations:

Although there are few complaints about the Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym resistance system, there are a few minor other issues to mention.  First, it might never be an issue for you but the resistance can’t go above 210 lbs. Regardless, that’s more than enough for most people.

Final Word on the Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym:

At half the price of the Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym, the PR1000 is a good choice for someone who doesn’t need an advanced home gym. The major differences between the PR1000 Home Gym and its big brother is that the resistance cannot be upgraded beyond 210 lbs. Another big difference is that you must realign your cables between upper and lower pulley exercises. If those concerns don’t worry you then the extremely affordable PR1000 Home Gym is probably the Bowflex machine that you’re looking for. Rating: 89/100
