Shipping and Assembly:

Shipping costs will vary for the Bodycraft SPX depending on where you purchase from and what type of delivery you prefer. However, some retailers, such as Amazon.com, will provide free shipping.

The Bodycraft SPX comes mostly assembled. They also provide you with all of the necessary tools to complete the assembly. There is an assembly manual included with the cycle, but it could use some better detail. That being said, since the bike is pre-assembled, it isn’t that difficult. Total assembly should take less than an hour.

What We Love About the Bodycraft SPX Indoor Cycle:

Durability

The Bodycraft SPX is a well built and durable indoor cycle. It has a solid, heavy duty steel tube frame and excellent belt drive. The automotive quality Hutchinson 5PK V-ribbed belt is maintenance free and will last forever. The 46 lb perimeter weighted flywheel is equivalent to using a standard 60 lb flywheel. It turns on the very belt bearings SKF has available, which are manufactured in Germany and France. The Bodycraft® SPX is a club quality cycle and is sure to be able to outlast your most intense workouts.

Warranty

You get an excellent warranty with the Bodycraft SPX. A good warranty can say a lot about how confident the manufacturer is in their product. That there is a lifetime warranty on the frame of this cycle tells us that Bodycraft® is really not too concerned with this frame breaking and they are completely confident with their project. Bodycraft® is also very confident in the parts and components by offering a 5 yr warranty on them.

Other Considerations:BodyCraft SPX computer

The Bodycraft SPX doesn’t come standard with a computer. This isn’t unusual as club-level bikes often don’t come with computers. But if you want one, here is an optional computer that you can purchase for an additional $99. This computer will track your speed, distance, calories, RPM, time and pulse. The computer also allows you to set time and distance goals to act as motivators during your workout. It should be noted , however, that in order to get the pulse readings, you’ll need to spend another $50 to get a heart rate chest strap, which is also not included. So, you’ll need to pay another $150 to get the full operation of the Bodycraft SPX.

Bodycraft SPX pedalsAlso, the Bodycraft SPX only comes with caged pedals. If you like to ride with clip-in pedals, you won’t be able to do that unless you purchase the optional upgrade.

Final Word on the Bodycraft SPX Club Indoor Training Cycle:

The Bodycraft SPX Indoor Cycle is well worth the money in terms of quality and durability. However, at a couple hundred dollars cheaper (which you can find online through retailers like Amazon.com), this bike is a steal. You are getting a club level indoor cycle that will last forever. Our main concern with this bike is that it does not come with a computer console, but Bodycraft does provide an upgrade for another $99.
