Keiser M3 Plus Overview:

Keiser M3 Plus Indoor Cycle

Keiser M3 Plus (also comes in Grey)

The result of over ten years of research and development, Keiser M3 Plus is one of the highest quality indoor cycling bikes available. This machine matches revolutionary magnetic resistance technology with a minimalist yet extremely sturdy design that provides a smooth-as-silk ride on a piece of exercise equipment that needs almost no maintenance and will absolutely stand the test of time. This is explains why the Keiser M3+ is on the pricier end of the market; it’s immediately apparent where your money is going.

If your goal is to lose weight or get into top fitness, the M3 Plus will get you there. With 24 levels of magnetic resistance this indoor bike provides as challenging a workout as you can handle.

The major advantages of the M3 Plus are the revolutionary magnetic resistance system (no touching parts, so zero wear and tear), near-silent drive belt, backlit computer display, and fore and aft handlebar adjustment. The design of the bike looks as if Keiser stripped away any unnecessary components and left simply one of the most high-tech yet user-friendly exercise machines you can buy.

The Keiser M3 Plus model is available now and comes in two attractive color styles:  grey or black (see above).

What We Love About the Keiser M3+ Plus:

Keiser has placed an overall premium on user experience and technology, but to get specific, here are a couple of our favorite features:

#1  The Revolutionary Magnetic Resistance SystemKeiser-M3+-Magnet-Resistance

The Keiser M3 Plus’s magnetic resistance system introduces a revolutionary method of giving you a great, quiet workout. To get a little bit techie, the “eddy current resistance” effect is created by two opposite magnets placed over the flywheel. The resistance level is geared up or down by moving the proximity of the magnetic field to the flywheel. The beauty of this system is that the various parts of the resistance system never come in contact with each other. This eliminates wear and tear on the part of a bike that usually needs to be replaced when using a traditional resistance system. This leaves the durable indoor bike with a lot less maintenance needed which saves money in the long run.

On a related note, the flywheel is actually lighter than on other indoor bikes, but this does not seem to be an issue as far as simulating momentum.

Overall the M3+ Plus’ magnetic resistance provides an ultra smooth ride that feels better than cycling a real bike on a trainer.

#2 The Backlit Computer ConsoleKeiser M3+ Computer

The Keiser M3 Plus includes a backlit computer display on a console that will give you an array of helpful data including RPM (rotations per minute), heart rate (if connected to a monitor such as a Polar brand device), power output (watts), calorie burn, odometer/travel distance, resistance level, and the time length of your workout.

The Keiser M3+ indoor bike’s computer is the first of its class to receive certification for passing the EN ISO 20957-1 Accuracy Test. This test requires an indoor bike to consistently achieve a high degree of accuracy.

What Isn’t So Great About the Keiser M3 Plus:

For a lot of people, the main sticking point of the Keiser M3 Plus is the price.  It’s at the top of the range.  But if you’re serious about getting into spinning, or just serious about working out at home, might as well dig a bit deeper for a great piece of machinery that will ride smoother and quieter than anything else out there, and will outlast the competition.

Final Word on the Keiser M3+ Plus:

Overall the Keiser M3 Plus Indoor Cycle is a top-of-the-line machine engineered with precision and care. Incredible design and function come together in a near-silent package that will get you sweating off extra weight and building muscle the same day it arrives at your door. If this bike is within your budget and you value high quality products that will stand the test of time, don’t hesitate, this bike is for you.
