Heart Rate Monitoring
Another drawback of the Velocity Exercise Dual Motion Recumbent Bike is its heart rate monitoring capability. You can only check your pulse through the hand grips. This requires you to hold on to the grips for 15-30 seconds in order to transfer your pulse to the console readout. There is no capability to use a chest strap monitor, which is far more accurate and allows hand-free monitoring. Additionally, you can’t use the rotating upper body system and check your heart rate.
