What We Love About the Sole SR500 Rower:
Heart Rate Monitoring
The feature we like most is that Sole equips the SR500 Rower with a chest strap heart rate monitor. Where most top of the line rowers require an extra purchase for this equipment, Sole provides it with the SR500 Rower. The computer console also has four heart rate exercise programs so that you can focus your intensity on fat burning, cardiovascular improvement or anaerobic improvement. One of the programs allows you to completely customize your target heart rate zone so you can have the exact intensity that you are looking for.
Quality & Warranty
The Sole SR500 Rower is a well built machine that can take some abuse. The mean rail is heavy duty aluminum and can accommodate a maximum weight capacity up to 515 lbs. This is probably the highest weight capacity that you’ll find in this price range. Sole also backs their construction with an excellent lifetime frame warranty. They’ll also back other parts and electronics for 3 years and their labor for a year. This is definitely one the best, if not the best, warranty you’ll find on the market.
The console on the Sole SR500 Rower is nice. We like that there are 12 program profiles and 4 heart rate training programs, but it’s missing something for us. There is no ability to track your workout statistics or download data after you’re done exercising. There’s no USB connection so that you can take your exercise data with you to gauge your improvement. There are other rowing machines with this capability, but you’ll need to spend around another $100.
Final Word on the Sole SR500 Rowing Machine:
In terms of quality, the Sole SR500 Rowing Machine is hard to beat. You’re getting a well made piece of exercise equipment with an unmatched warranty. Sole is also throwing in a heart rate chest strap with your purchase of the SR500 Rower. It is well designed with the user in mind and has a quality computer console. We just wish the console had the ability to download and track our exercise statistics. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Sole SR500 Rower.
