Shipping and Assembly
Whether it is free or not, you’re going to want this one delivered to your door. At nearly 400 pounds this is not a treadmill you can just throw in the trunk of your car and go. Free shipping would be a nice bonus, especially with this price tag, and should be relatively easy to find from at least one trusted seller.
Assembly is not overly complex, but there are a lot of wires to pay attention to and connect. Again, the large size and overall weight of this machine may be a factor in assembly difficulty, so plan on having at least one other person there to help you. You should also plan on assembling this treadmill exactly where it will be set up because it’s heavy, and it’s not going to go anywhere without a few helping hands.
What We Love about the 3G Cardio Elite Runner Treadmill
Good Sized Running Belt
We hate finding a potential treadmill and then realizing that we would be tripping over our feet because it is too narrow, or flying off into the wall behind us because it is too short. At 22” wide and 62” long, this belt can accommodate virtually any trainee, no matter their stride length.
Shock Absorbing Belt
We love that trainees can hit this treadmill and not experience a traumatic impact on their knees, hips or ankles like on a regular machine or on the road. 3G calls it “OrthoFlex” but we call it a game changer.
Great Customer Support
When you purchase a big-ticket item, your hope is that it will be as trouble-free as possible. Barring that, your second hope is that customer service not only listens to your issue but works to resolve it as painlessly as possible. Good customer service can be the difference between a good experience and a great one.
Plenty of Workout Variety
Not only does the 3G Cardio Elite Runner Treadmill have eight built-in programs, there is the option to create two custom programs as well. You can also skip the programs, use the manual mode and change up the speed and incline to suit your particular needs as you go. You can run every day for nearly two weeks and never perform the same program twice.
If you don’t have a dedicated space for a pretty sizable treadmill, then this is not the machine for you. It’s also not very portable, so moving it without the help of several people isn’t going to be your best option. At 84” long overall, this one needs a pretty sizeable area—plus it is heavy. This one is likely going to be set up in one spot and stay there forever.
The Price Tag
If you want a gym-quality treadmill you have to be prepared to pay gym-quality prices. This is no exception to that rule so be ready. At nearly $3500, this is definitely in the higher price range for home treadmills.
How the 3G Cardio Elite Runner Treadmill Compares to the 3G Pro Runner
Both machines have the OrthoFlex shock absorbing belt. The Pro Runner belt is about 4” shorter and slightly narrower however. The Cardio Elite Runner has a 4.0 hp motor while the Pro Runner’s motor is only 3.0. The Pro Runner is almost 100 pound lighter and can only handle a max user weight of 350 lbs. The big advantage of the Pro Runner is that it is a folding machine and is about $1500 cheaper. Still, the Cardio Elite Runner remains the far superior machine in so many other ways.
Final Word on the 3G Cardio Elite Runner Treadmill
Sure, it is big and bulky but that makes most trainees feel more secure, especially in super intense running workouts. No one wants to start hitting their top speeds and start feeling the machine wobbling and moving out of control. No worries here. This is a well-made machine with all of the features you would find in a gym treadmill without having to wait your turn or worry about whose sweat you are going to be touching when you start your workout. It is a solid investment and will last long after it has paid for itself in gym savings.
