What We Love About the Gold’s Gym Treadmill:
The Gold’s Gym Trainer 720 Treadmill has some great creature comforts that make using a treadmill fun. It has a folding design, which is perfect for apartments or people with limited exercise room. It has iPod/MP3 player capability so that you can listen to your favorite music while exercising to get into your zone. The best feature on the 720 Treadmill is the 18 programmed workouts that will ensure a complete workout for the user.
The Gold’s Gym Trainer 720 Treadmill’s best feature is its 18 programmed workouts. Having programmed workouts is a great feature because the programs are designed to ensure an intense workout. While exercising using these programs, the treadmill will adjust its speed and incline to ensure a quality exercise. At 18 programmed workouts, Gold’s Gym is equipping the 720 Treadmill with a lot of options. In this price range you will find some competitor models with more and some with less. With 18 workouts to help vary your routines, it’s going to be hard to reach a fitness plateau.
What Isn’t So Great on the Gold’s Gym Treadmill:
Not a deal breaker, but the Gold’s Gym Trainer 720 Treadmill only has the ability to monitor your heart rate through the pulse grips. Since there is no ability to utilize a chest strap monitor, the accuracy of your pulse readings isn’t going to be the best. Additionally, this is going to require you to hold the grips while running, which we all know is very difficult for any length of time. Performing target heart rate training is going to be near to impossible. A lot of competitor models in this price range are telemetry enabled so that a chest strap can be utilized.
Final Word on the Gold’s Gym Treadmill:
Overall, this Gold’s Gym Treadmill is a good buy for its price range. It has a lot of great features that make exercising enjoyable, including its 18 programmed workouts, and iPod/MP3 player compatibility. It’s only drawback is that heart rate monitoring can only be accomplished through its pulse grips and there is no ability to use a chest strap. If this is not an issue for you, which it isn’t for most people, the Gold’s Gym Trainer 720 Treadmill might just be the model for you.
