What We Love About the Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill:
The Horizon T101 Treadmill has some solid extras that make using a treadmill an enjoyable experience. It has some of the typical things like a reading rack, MP3 player and a water bottle holder. The nicest feature, however, is the 30 programmed workouts loaded on the treadmill.
Programs
The Horizon T101 Treadmill probably provides the most programmed workouts that you will find on a treadmill in this price range. Having 30 programs is more than you’ll find on some treadmills costing twice as much as this one. These workouts range from manually setting your own objectives to strenuous interval workouts. You will definitely never get bored with the same workout day in and day out. You can essentially have a new workout every day for a month.
What Isn’t So Great:
It’s not a deal breaker, but a drawback of the Horizon T101 Treadmill is that it only has the ability to monitor your heart rate through the pulse grips. There is no option to use a chest strap. A lot of competitor models in this price range will come telemetry enabled so that a chest strap can be utilized. Without a chest strap, you will not get instantaneous heart rate readouts and will need to hold the grips in order to track your pulse. That said, most users will be completely fine with using the pulse grips.
Finally, there are some minor concerns from some users about the delivery process. Our recommendation would be to purchase from a reputable company with known customer service excellence, like Amazon.com.

The Horizon T101 Treadmill is a solid machine. It has a lot of great features that make exercising enjoyable, including its 30 programmed workouts, MP3 player and reading rack. Its biggest drawback is that heart rate monitoring can only be accomplished through its pulse grips and there is no ability to use a chest strap. If this is not an issue for you then it’s a green light!
