About LifeSpan:
Introduced in 2001, LifeSpan is dedicated to benefiting the way people work, exercise and live in sustainable, healthy ways. They have three main focuses: Fitness, workplace and club. Under the fitness focus, they have a nice line of treadmills, exercise bikes and rowers. They also provide numerous exercise accessories and activity trackers.
What We Love About the LifeSpan TR 1200i Treadmill:
The LifeSpan TR 1200i Treadmill is a very solid machine with some great components. It has a powerful 2.5 CHP motor and an intelligent pause feature that will shut the treadmill down if you are off of it for 20 seconds. But by far the best feature has to be the programmed workouts and the ability to track you workout progress. As a side note, the 1200i is very similar to the LifeSpan TR3000i but a few hundred dollars cheaper.
Workout Extras
The LifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill comes with 22 programmed workouts. This is plenty enough variety to keep you busy and eliminate the monotony of doing the same running exercises day in and day out. Additionally you can connect to the LifeSpan Club and get even more exercise options. The LifeSpan Club also tracks your performance from workout to workout so you can see your improvements over time. This is a great feature that even higher priced treadmills don’t provide.
Other Considerations:
Not too much to complain about here, but some users report that the LifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill is not the quietest machine while exercising. Some people mentioned noise from the plastic motor cover vibrating. For some runners this is an annoyance while some users expect it. Most treadmills are going to have some noise.
Final Word on the LifeSpan TR 1200i Treadmill:
The LifeSpan TR 1200i Treadmill is a great buy for its price range. Overall it’s an excellent piece of exercise equipment to add to your home gym that can be folded to preserve space for other activities. As we covered, the TR 1200i has a lot of great features like the Intelli-Step design, the variety of programmed workouts, and the full membership to the LifeSpan Club. The LifeSpan TR 1200i is very comparable to the Nautilus T616 which is also worth a look for comparison purposes.
Rating: Highly recommended.
