Design
If you’re looking at the LifeSpan TR200 Compact Treadmill, chances are you don’t have a lot of room to exercise or to store equipment. If that is true, then this really is the treadmill for you. This treadmill is a mere 11” when folded! What’s just as nice is that you can store the LifeSpan TR200 Compact Treadmill standing up or laying down. So, you can stick it in a closet or under your bed. It will literally store just about anywhere.

Belt Size & Speed
The LifeSpan TR200 Compact Treadmill has a small running surface at 48”. Really, at this length, this treadmill should be used mainly for walking or light jogging. You’re not really going to be able to run very fast. This is kind of backed up by the top speed of the TR200 Compact Treadmill, which is 6 mph. While 6 mph is a decent pace, anyone with running experience is well beyond this 10 minutes per mile top speed. The best you’re looking to do with this treadmill is speed walk.
Quality
Another issue that we discovered through customer reviews is that the motor doesn’t appear to be very heavy duty. There are complaints that after some extended use that the motor beings to give off a smell and even smoke in some cases. These reports are spattered over time from 2010 through 2015, so it is unclear if LifeSpan has completely rectified the issue. If this doesn’t concern you, just be aware that you don’t want to push this treadmill to the limit.

If you want a treadmill with space saving design, then there isn’t much better than the LifeSpan TR200 Compact Treadmill. This treadmill folds up so small that you can put it almost anywhere; anywhere that you have 11” to spare. Now, if you’re looking for a space saving design and a treadmill that you can run on, this isn’t for you. With a short running surface and a 6 mph top speed, this treadmill just isn’t built for it.
