Treadmill fitness walking is an effective way to burn extra calories and achieve a healthy lifestyle.
The motor on the ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill can provide speed up to 6 mph, so it provides more than enough power for walking or jogging. Most power walkers train at speeds between 4.5 to 5.5 mph. At these speeds, treadmill walking can help you lose body fat, tone muscles and is a great way to stay in shape. The speed settings are adjusted incrementally using the electronic controls on the console. You can also monitor your heart rate with hand grip sensors. Training in your target heart zones can help enhance your weight loss and cardiovascular improvement. By training in these ranges, your body burns more calories or improves you endurance.
Unlike outdoor walking, treadmill fitness walking has the benefits of shock absorption and the convenience of exercising in your own home, in front of a TV or just listening to your favorite music. Studies show that a 2 mile walk everyday achieves the same results as an intense exercise of any technique. When you’re done exercising, the ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill can be folded easily and stored out of the way to free up your valuable living space.

What We Love About the ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill:
If you’re looking for a well built, budget-friendly treadmill, the ProGear 350 Treadmill is a great choice. This treadmill is solid with a 275 lb weight capacity. This is one of the higher capacities that you’ll find in this price range. The treadmill also has great components that make the operation smooth and quiet. ProGear is confident with their design and backs it with one of the best warranties that we’ve seen for a treadmill in this price range. On top of an already great warranty, they also provide a free 5 year extended warranty. You won’t be able to find another treadmill at this price point that can come anywhere close to this warranty.
Keep in Mind:
This Treadmill is Not for Running
As the name suggests, this treadmill is not for running. The ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill is built for walking and maybe some light jogging. The belt surface is only 16”x42” which makes running nearly impossible. If you’re going to try to run on this surface, your stride is going to be severely compact. You’re not going to be able to run with your full stride. The other thing that makes running impossible is that the top speed is only 6 mph. While 6 mph can be a running speed for some, it is definitely on the lower end of the scale. With a few months of training, even a sporadic runner can surpass 6 mph.
Final Word on the ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill:
As you start looking at lower priced treadmills, quality needs to be your biggest concern. With the ProGear 350 Power Walking Electric Treadmill, this is not an issue. This is a well built treadmill with great components and an untouchable warranty. Our only issue with this treadmill is that with a smaller belt surface and a top speed of 6 mph, this is definitely not a running treadmill, which the name suggests.
