Construction
The Stamina Avari Magnetic Treadmill has a strong steel tube frame and dual weighted flywheel that keep it well grounded even though its total weight is 60 lbs. Besides a solid construction, it is also designed to be folded quickly for space-saving storage. This is great for people with minimal space for exercise equipment or for apartment/condo living. This treadmill folds down to 20” so it can easily be stuck in a closet or under a bed.
What Isn’t So Great:
Running Surface
The biggest downfall of the Stamina Avari Magnetic Treadmill has to be the running surface for a few reasons. First, and foremost, calling it a running surface is a bit of a stretch at 43”. At this length, the Avari Magnetic Treadmill will be best used for walking and light jogging. A run stride will have to be extremely restricted to stay on this treadmill. There are also quite a few complaints with belt slippage and maintenance for this treadmill. It seems to be a pretty common issue. The final quirk with the running surface is that the 8 degree incline is fixed and cannot be adjusted. If this something you’re not used to, you may not like it.
Price
The Stamina Avari Magnetic Treadmill retails for around $300, but you can usually find it cheaper than that online. Even so, this is pretty expensive for a manual treadmill. The price of the Stamina Avari Magnetic Treadmill is a little steep for a manual treadmill. At this higher price, you will get a well built, solid treadmill though. In our opinion, this treadmill is made for walkers and joggers. Running on the treadmill is going to be near impossible even if you are a shorter user. But, if all you need is a walking/light jogging treadmill and you don’t mind a little maintenance upkeep, this treadmill will definitely work for you.
