Weslo-CardioStride-3-0-TreadmillTreadmill Overview:

There are a few well known manufacturers to look for when searching for an entry-level piece of exercise equipment and Weslo is one of them. You can generally find these products in Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Sears stores and they are good quality for a reasonable price. The CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill is a good example of this. This is a well built manual home treadmill with an overall weight of 60 lbs. It is heavy enough to remain planted while exercising, but light enough to move around when you’re not working out. Add the folding design on this Weslo Treadmill and this is a great space saving machine. Weslo also backs this treadmill with an awesome 3 year frame warranty and 90 day parts and labor warranties.

The CardioStride 3.0 has a nice sized belt at 17”x41”. It’s generally bigger than you’re going to find on the competition in this price range. It also has a fixed 15% incline, which is sure to heavy you sweating every time regardless if you’re walking, jogging or running. The CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill is equipped with a basic monitor that will track your speed, distance, time and calories burned while exercising. Weslo has designed a nice treadmill for a very reasonable price.

What We Love About the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill:Weslo-CardioStride-3-Treadmill

Warranty

The best thing about the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill has to be its warranty. Weslo provides 5 year warranties on the frame of this treadmill, which is practically unheard-of. For most entry-level treadmills, you’ll be lucky to find a warranty at all. Welso also extends 90 days warranties to the parts and labor of this treadmill. Welso obviously has confidence in the construction of their treadmill to provide warranties like this.

Belt Size

While the belt size on the Welso CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill is small for running, it is larger than most of the competition. At 41” long it is going to be difficult to use your full running stride, but it is more than sufficient for walking or light jogging. Other treadmills in this price range have belt lengths from 39” to 41”. The big difference is in the width. The CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill has a 17” belt width, where most of the competition is around 14”. This gives you a few more inches of wiggle room while you’re exercising.

Other Considerations:

Incline

One design feature that we really don’t care for on this Weslo Treadmill is the incline. This treadmill has a 15% fixed incline. This is a pretty steep incline and will definitely add some intensity to your walking or jogging. It is also going to make it difficult to use without holding on to the handlebars, which makes an awkward jogging posture. We have seen this complaint from multiple users. Other manual treadmills in this price range don’t have inclines quite as steep and some like the Exerpeutic 250 Manual Treadmill and the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-T1408M Manual Walking Treadmill provide multiple incline options that can be adjusted. Check out our reviews of these treadmills.

Heart Rate MonitoringWeslo-Cardio-Stride-3-0-Treadmill

We are also giving the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill a slap on the wrist for a feature that it does not have; heart rate monitoring. Heart rate monitoring is very useful as an exercise tool. By monitoring your heart rate you can ensure that you are exercising in your target heart zones, which in turn will help you burn calories faster and improve your cardiovascular fitness. While you might not think this is available on entry-level manual treadmills, with a little research you can find it. Again, check out our reviews of the Exerpeutic 250 Manual Treadmill and the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-T1408M Manual Walking Treadmill.

Final Word on the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill:

If you’re looking for a well built treadmill and can provide an intense workout at an entry-level price, the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 Treadmill is for you. Welso provides an excellent warranty on this treadmill and the belt size and fixed incline will allow you to get an excellent workout every time. We just wish that we could adjust that intensity with different incline settings. The ability to check your heart rate while exercising would also be nice.
