What We Love About the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill:
Quality & Construction
There is no questioning the quality of the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill. This treadmill is as strong as they come weighing in at a whopping 445 lbs. This treadmill can accommodate an 800 lb user while walking and a 500 lb person while running. The running surface is gigantic at 22”x68”. It doesn’t matter how tall you are, you will definitely be able to achieve a full running stride on this treadmill. The innovative belt design also speaks of quality. It’s built like a tank! There are 60 individual tread slats that roller on 116 ball bearings. Woodway backs the Desmo S Treadmill with a lifetime frame and motor warranty so it will be with you as long as you want it.
What Isn’t So Great:
Price and Options
There are expensive treadmills then there are E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E treadmills. Woodway treadmills are the latter. The Desmo S Treadmill retails at close to $10,000. You may be able to find a used or refurbished one at half this price, but your warranty is likely to not be as good. While the quality of the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill is tough to beat, there are plenty of well designed and quality treadmills for the fraction of this price. There are also plenty of treadmills back with lifetime frame and motor warranties to ensure you will have a working treadmill for a very long time. On top of that, for the price, we would have liked to see access to 3rd party exercise platforms. For example ProForm and NordicTrack team up with iFit to provide numerous workout options and the ability to track your exercise data. This is something that is missing on the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill.
Final Word on the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill:
If you can afford it, you won’t find a treadmill that is constructed better than the Woodway Desmo S Treadmill. This treadmill is built like a tank and there’s no way you’ll ever need another treadmill once you buy this one. That being said, you may need to take out a small loan to buy it. If you don’t have that kind of cash lying around, there are plenty of options for high quality treadmills at a fraction of the price of the Desmo S Treadmill. You can check out our reviews of the ProForm, 3G Cardio, FreeMotion and NordicTrack treadmills that are also great buying decisions, but a lot more affordable.
